Established in 1950, Zhejiang Tea Import & Export Co., Ltd. is a specialized manufacturer of tea products. Gradually, we have deveoped into a comprehensive international trade company, and our business scope covers chemical, light industrial products, textiles, apparel and hardware products.
Meanwhile, the total import and export value has reached USD270,000,000, which has enabled us become the No. 324 company amongst top 500 Chinese international trade enterprises, No.168 of the top 200 Chinese companies in case of export values. Moreover, we have 15 subsidiary companies, 2 joint ventures and have established business relationships with customers from more than 100 countries around the world. Additionally, having been authorized by the Chinese Government to have the right to do tea business since 1981, our annual export capacity has exceeded 40,000 metric tons since 1990. Especially, in 2003 we exported 38,000 metric tons of tea products, valued USD52,100,000, which included 38,000 metric tons of green tea, amounted to 21% of Chinese exported green tea being on the top one of the world. Furthermore, we have several famous tea brands such as 'Camel' and 'Shifeng', of which the 'Camel' brand is registered in more than 30 countries, and wins gold medals many times in the World Food Expo and International Tea Expo. Presently, we also provide luggage, apparels, shoes, caps, machinery and electrical equipment to better fulfill customers' specifications, therefore meet their changing needs effectively. Nowadays, the value of the above exported products accounts for 2/3 of the total turnover of the company.
